Miss Ward
Dear Parent or Guardian,
Welcome to Room K104's Webpage! I hope you all have found our site to be both informative and engaging! If this is your first time looking through our site, I invite you to look through some of the resources this site provides, as well as take a look at some of the expectations and goals for the year. I am incredibly excited to get to know each of my students this year! I graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a degree in Elementary Education and endorsements in General Science, Social Science, and Language Arts. This is my first year at Big Hollow and I am honored to be a part of such an amazing school environment. I encourage all family and friends to take part in the wonderful journey that lies ahead this year. Read below if you wish to learn more about my teaching philosophy! |
My Teaching Philosophy
|
My philosophy on education begins and ends with the safety, well-being, and happiness of each and every student. While the classroom door may have, "Miss Ward" on it, I truly believe that a student's success is dependent upon a team effort. I believe that all students can succeed and each student should feel as though learning empowers them. I believe that as the next generation of leaders, students need to learn how to socially, emotionally, and intellectually connect with the world around them. The students in my classroom will be members of a classroom environment that supports and encourages one another to be and do their very best.
